The mid bay reefs, Carancahua and Confederate were a little tough going until the winds calmed down mid week. East bay has been fair on trout around fat rat pass, live shrimp under a popping cork and Roach paddle tails did the trick. Redfish are showing up in good numbers in Greens lake, key in on pods of finger mullet over shell and mud in about 4 feet of water. It has been mid day bite, Bone and chrome top waters have been the my go to bait. The water temperature Friday evening was sixty six degree's, Bait fish are starting to move out of the marsh's on the strong out going tides following the full moon. The spring drum run is in full swing, Jumbo black and white striped monsters up to forty five pounds being landed near the end of the Texas city dike as well as the deep hole's along the ship channel.
